Surprise: Clark County Goes Union

Published by Z at 12:43 pm under The Z Spot Edit This

This is another old article, but one that everyone in Southern Nevada should be aware of.

In a “right to work” state (that means that Nevadans think you should be able to get a job regardless of Union membership), with an unemployment rate almost 5 percent above the national average, our County apparently thinks supporting unions is more important than supporting local businesses or the people they employ. Keep in mind that in the last two years, our state has lost 1/3 of its construction jobs. Not to mention that 80 percent of locally owned contractors are non-Union.

Oh well.
