Obama Hypocrisy
I have pointed out several general examples of Obama’s campaign deceptions or hypocrisies once in office, but here’s a very specific example for you.
In July, 2007, Obama said, “The Justice Department going after sick individuals using this as a palliative instead of going after serious criminals makes no sense.” In August 2007 he said, “I would not have the Justice Department prosecuting and raiding medical marijuana users. It’s not a good use of our resources.”
Now, the Obama administration is encouraging a court to give a Californian convicted on federal marijuana charges for running a licensed medical marijuana business in California, an increased sentence. The man was sentenced to a year and a day, but the Obama administration was pushing for five years.
Can any Obama fans justify this one for me?

For some reason, no matter what the dunderhead-in-chief does, they justify it. It might make no sense how they justify it, but they will. Here’s to hoping they wake up before it’s too late. The polls–if you can believe them–are showing a good deal of disapproval in the way Obama is handling things. Let’s hope the poles are right and the liberals are just too embarassed to admit it.

I actually can’t think of any reason for anyone to come down on medical marijuana users or providers…. Research since 1975 says it’s more helpful than harmful….

Eli,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Sorry it’s taken a bit for me to moderate all of your comments.
I’m very curious about whether what you are saying is true. If you look back to what I said about the election while it was going on, although I supported McCain I was quite happy knowing that it was either him or Obama. Obama so far has disappointed.
Perhaps because his supporters are so blinded by the color of his skin and his ending the Bush years, or perhaps just because he was always that good of a smooth-talker, Obama has skated through his first five months without actually doing anything he promised to do. Let’s see what happens.
